Kelsan® HPF (High Positive Friction) Solid Stick Top-Of-Rail Friction Modifier
 
What is Kelsan® HPF?
Solid stick friction modifier that is applied directly to the wheel tread of the transit vehicle. The HPF material transfers to the tread, and thence the top of the rail. A Thin Film is left behind on the top of rail that provides a consistent friction level of 0.35 on the wheel/rail interface throughout the transit system. HPF OnBoard Sticks Transit are applied using a spring loaded bracket/applicator assembly that is custom built for each customer. The bracket/applicator assembly is attached to the frame of the transit vehicle.
