Kelsan®
KELTRACK® Hi-Rail is a water based
liquid friction modifier designed
for application from a Top-Of-Rail
delivery system mounted on a Hi-Rail
truck or Portec Rail Road-Runner®
Hi-Rail™ TOR Application System. KELTRACK®
leaves a dry Thin Film on the Top-Of-Rail
which is transferred to the wheel
tread of the locomotives that pass
over the treated rail. This provides
friction control in the wheel/rail
interface.
This form of KELTRACK® dries rapidly,
and forms a thin film of friction
modifier on the top of the rail. It
is also optimized to have maximum
retentivity (number of axle passes
for which the material remains effective).
The
Portec Rail Road-Runner® 361 is
a Hi-Rail vehicle mounted Top-Of-Rail
application system. It is designed
to spray Kelsan® KELTRACK®
to the Top-Of-Rail and was developed
by Portec
Rail Products in collaboration
with Kelsan Technologies. The application
system sprays KELTRACK® Hi-Rail evenly
to the Top-Of-Rail as it drives along
the track.
